Seven knobs, no voice switch, fifty watts. The 101 Reverb doesn't hide anything from you — which means every knob has to earn its place, and the manual is unusually clear about what each one does. These twenty settings are built directly on that guidance. If you read only one section here, read the legend. How to read this - Gain — clean from 0–3, breakup between 3 and 5, overdrive and sustain above 7. - Limiter — at 0 it lets the amp break up normally. Around 3 it holds overdrive at a rolling boil. From 5–10 it pulls the gain back before distortion, trading grit for sustain. - Bass — adds lows from 0–8, and then from 8–10 it starts subtracting midrange. That's not a bug; on a couple of settings below it's the entire point. - Mid — below 5 it scoops for a lean rhythm tone. Above 5 it boosts, and boosting mids promotes overdrive. - Treble — top-end shape, and the fastest way to fix a setting that's close but harsh. - Reverb — adds wet from 0–5, then from 5–10 it reduces the dry signal for a properly drenched balance. - Master — sets the overdrive threshold in watts. Lower Master, earlier breakup. It is not just a volume knob. - Knobs are 0–10; the manual says to start the EQ at 5. Rock
