The Cub gives you two independent volume controls:
- SIG VOL sets the level of the Line output / Headphone output.
- SPKR VOL sets the overall speaker volume.
They're deliberately separate, so you can push a Line Out feed while the speaker acts as your monitor, or keep the speaker as your main sound while using headphones too.
That means plugging in headphones won't silence the speaker. For quiet practice, drop SPKR VOL down and raise SIG VOL to taste. If SIG VOL is up but you're getting nothing, check the headphones, the cable, or whatever you've connected the Line output to.
