Can you use the BlockDock 12HD as a bass cabinet?

Even though the 12HD is loaded with the Celestion BN12-300S (a bass speaker), we don't really recommend it for bass. Here's the reasoning: Bass speakers usually live in a proper bass cabinet, whose design keeps the speaker from over-excursion. The 12HD is built as a guitar cabinet, so it doesn't offer that same protection against pushing the speaker too far and damaging it. You can technically use it with a bass, and light-duty, very-low-power use should be okay. But if you're after a real bass cab, we'd strongly point you to the BassDock 10/12.
