Building your own footswitch (RJ-45 pinout)

Some players just want a footswitch that does one thing — totally doable. Wire an RJ-45 connector using the pin assignments below.
> Note: Color codes are for EIA/TIA 568-A cable. Brown is always ground. Touch the other colors to brown to confirm the trigger function. Control current is 3 mA, fine for any relay or active pull-down circuit.
Mach 3 and OverDrive 202:
- White/Green — Boost
- Green — Limiter
- White/Orange — Tremolo
- Blue — Reverb
- White/Blue — FX Loop
- Orange — Ch 1-2 (Mach 3 needs a 1K resistor in series)
- White/Brown — Reserved
- Brown — Ground
MicroPro 200:
- Orange/White — Boost
- Orange — Limiter
- Green/White — Tremolo
- Blue — Reverb
- Blue/White — FX Loop
- Green — Mode (requires a 1K resistor from Pin 6 to ground; only on Gen 1 MicroPro)
- Brown/White — not used
- Brown — Common Ground
