Octave effect not working? Update your firmware

Illumine firmware 2.0.0 shipped with a bug where the Octave effect didn't work properly when the pedal was connected with a mono output or in wet/dry mode. This was fixed in firmware 2.0.3. Update to the latest version using Preset Manager Software and a compatible USB-MIDI interface — the Illumine Firmware Update Guide walks through the steps in detail.
