How to swap the speaker in your amp or BlockDock

Swapping a speaker is straightforward on our current amps and BlockDocks: - Gently lift the grill frame by one corner to release the Velcro, exposing the front-mounted speaker. - Unscrew the speaker, watching out for the terminals as you free it. Once you can reach them, gently wiggle the terminals off — small pliers help if needed. - Note which terminal is + and which is −, and wire the new speaker the same way. Lower it into place. - Start the screws by hand to be sure they've caught the threaded T-nuts, then carefully drive them in without letting the screwdriver slip into the cone. Tighten moderately firmly, but not so much that you warp the frame. > Match the frame: Make sure your replacement matches the hole opening and mounting points. Most steel-frame speakers will fit; most cast-aluminum frames will not. A couple of our discontinued amps work a little differently — the MicroPro Mach 2 and the Steelaire each have their own speaker-swap procedure, so look up the steps specific to those models if that's what you have.
