FX loop not passing signal (or cutting out)

Sometimes an FX loop seems dead — weak signal, cutting in and out, or nothing at all. It's a very uncommon problem, and it's rarely the loop itself. Start by troubleshooting the rig; usually a pedal or a cable is the culprit. If you still suspect the loop, here's a quick way to test it directly: > Take a cable and plug the FX Send straight into the FX Return. Set up your instrument and play as normal. > - You hear your instrument → the loop is working fine, and the issue is external. > - No signal → there may genuinely be an issue with the loop. Try this with a few different cables to rule the cable out too. One exception: if you've got a Mach 3 with an FX loop issue, there's a specific reason that can happen — check the Mach 3 documentation for the details.
