If your amp rattles or buzzes when you play — or you hear a vibration on specific notes — there's a good chance something external is causing it. Give the amp a thorough once-over: - Check the retention plate. Playing through a BlockDock and securing the head with the retention plate? Make sure the head is fully seated and the screws are all the way in. - Check the legs. If your amp has built-in legs or our Tiltback Leg kit, confirm they're screwed in completely and tightened. - Check the grill. It's uncommon, but the grill can rattle — a bit of foam between the grill and the amp usually cures it. - Check the badges. Loose badges (the Quilter logo, artist-series badges, etc.) on the grill can buzz. Snug them down. - Check the speaker. A loose component in the speaker can vibrate as you play. Try another speaker to see if the noise follows. Please work through all of this before sending your amp in — more often than not, units sent in for a rattle turn out to have nothing wrong with them.
