Wet Reverb (mono): how it changed across versions

There have been five versions of the mono Wet Reverb: - Version 1 — model year 2009, brushed aluminum with a blue & silver overlay - Version 2a — model year 2010, black with a black & silver overlay - Version 2b — model year 2011, black with a black & silver overlay - Version 3 — model year 2012–13, black with a dark blue & white overlay - Versions 4 / 4tb — model year mid-2014 onward Version 2a (vs. version 1): - Mix knob now reaches 100% wet fully clockwise - Depth knob now reaches near-infinite fully clockwise - Reworked the lower Depth range to sound less "slappy," more like a small room - Larger battery compartment to fit bigger batteries (e.g. rechargeables) Version 2b (vs. 2a): - Replaced true bypass with a switchable buffered/unbuffered bypass - About 6 dB more wet-signal headroom - Added a low-battery indicator - Slightly lowered the wet level so it's easier to dial in just a touch of reverb - (You can tell 2b from 2a by the bypass-instructions label on the bottom of the pedal or box. No label present? Then you have 2b.) Version 3 (vs. 2b): - Adds trails bypass - Improved Mix taper: ultra-fine control from a touch of reverb up to 100% wet with no volume loss - Adds a variable headroom control for line-level use at lower Mix settings - Removes battery capability - Removes the switchable buffered/unbuffered bypass Version 4 (vs. 3): - Adds a Tone knob - Changes to a "soft" footswitch - Adds selectable trails / normal / two-stage bypass - Adds an option for true bypass Version 5 (vs. 4): - Moved the in & out jacks to the top - Added selectable reverb type — original Wet or W3T (as in the Immerse Mk II) - Removed the option for true bypass
